Detroit Public Safety Academy is accepting applications for grades 6-12. Applications may be obtained and submitted Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. You can also apply online, and a member of our staff will contact you to complete the registration process. |
Detroit Public Safety Academy is the first and only school of its kind in Michigan.
Along with excellent academics, students learn about careers in law enforcement, fire sciences, emergency medical services and others. Choose from five exciting career tracks: General education • Fire safety • Law enforcement • Emergency medical technician • Non-profit. Detroit Public Safety Academy cadets may earn certificates in various courses related to public safety as well as college credits toward an advanced degree.
Re-enrollment 2018-2019All students must re-enroll, current enrollment does not guarantee a space for a student for the 2018-19 academic year.

Following the open enrollment period, a public lottery may be held to determine admissions if the number of applications received exceeds capacity for the school.
