Attention all students!! City of Detroit high school graduates will be getting free tuition to Wayne State University!
The announcement was made today with Wayne State President M. Roy Wilson and others. It will include the class of 2020. The scholarship will be called the "Heart of Detroit Tuition Pledge."
To get the scholarship, a student must meet the following criteria:

Parents, please be reminded that there is NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS due to Staff Professional Development. Classes will resume on Monday, October 21st promptly at 8am.
Parents/Guardians, please be advised that DPSA will conducting P/SAT Testing Simulation on 10/17/2019 for students in grades 8, 9, 10, 11 in an effort to better prepare students for the actual tests that wil occur next spring. Students in grades 8, 9, 10, 11 will report to school by 8am, complete the exam(s), then will be dismissed by 11:45am. Please ensure that students get the proper rest the night before, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive promptly by 8am to participate. Breakfast and/or break time snacks will be provided. Please be sure to listen to the auto call at 6pm for more information.

Section 1136(6) of the Revised School Code, MCL 380. 1136(6), requires Detroit Public Safety Academy, as a public school academy, to prepare a list of uses or instances that the academy commonly discloses regarding a student’s directory information.
“Directory information” means information contained in a student’s education record that would not generally be considered harmful or an invasion of privacy if disclosed. Please see the letter below for more information.
If you DO NOT wish for your student's directory information to be included under the academy's "list of uses", please download, complete and submit the "Opt Out Form" below. Please refer to the form for the three (3) different ways in which you can return the form. If you have any questions, please contact the academy during regular business hours.
Hello Eagle Nation! Quarter 1 Progress Reports will be distributed to students on Friday, October 11, 2019 at 11:30am, and students will be dismissed at 11:30am. A reminder auto-call is scheduled for Thursday, October 10th @ 6pm. Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled from 1pm-4pm. Parents, if you are unable to attend, please feel free to contact the school to discuss other arrangements.
